→ Curating Curiosity
Curating Curiosity is a homage to the sparks of interest that enter my mind yet immediately get tossed to the back-burner by the busyness of life. The project’s essence lies in delving into the extraordinary aspects of ideas and objects that may otherwise be perceived as mundane and inconsequential. sitting with ideas and not resorting to obvious solutions is a practice that I aspire to refine. The allure of this project was the ease in which I could be playful in my exploration because there is no predisposition when it comes to sticker residue, the fridge door, or road trash.
Curiosity is an age-old idea, though one that I believe is falling into disuse. the moments we have between our daily tasks with which we have the opportunity to wonder have now become inundated with notifications, endless scrolling, and the myriad distractions of the modern world. Curating Curiosity allowed me the space to slow down, affording my curiosity the attention it deserves-a practice I aim to carry on.
